The New York Times is keeping tabs on the subways with this easy to understand application (which I believe is still available to all since they took down the paywall) here.

My areas of interest are: personal data - ability to see how data translates over time (quantified self), simple interface - design where users begin interaction without explicit direction, social - create something people can use and share, product development - I want to push beyond software; ubiquitous computing, connect objects to the web using software My thesis work will begin with ideation, research, prototypes and user testing evolving around these key areas with the hope of ending the semester with a final prototype leading me to what will become a finalized product/design.
